“I purchased this to replace my 24 valve Irritrol that was installed in my home in the early 90's. I had good experience with the original and thought I would stick with the brand. The TC-24EX-R is poor design and cheap housing. The original Irritrol was 18 x 18 x 6 metal housing, the new one is much smaller and made of plastic. My biggest issue was the wires had a hard time fitting in the new one and i had to somewhat bastardize it to get them in there. The only way to connect wires on one side is to put them over resistors and the wires press against the resistors as you can't fit wires for both sides up the middle and connect them.”

“I bought this controller to expand my system from 15 to 25 stations. The changeover was easy since both controllers were of the same make. Help from the sprinkler supply store was outstanding. The upgrade was completed in about 30 minutes and works perfectly”
