Libellule Reviews

3.7 Rating 3 Reviews
On the positive, the grounds and location for Villa Libellule were beautiful. The beach is directly behind the villa and accessible with a 5 min steep hike. (Just be sure to get some stretches in before getting started.) On the first night of our arrival the a/c in the master bedroom was making a consistent loud knocking sound making it difficult to sleep. Also human hair not belonging to myself, spouse or groundskeepers was discovered on the sheets, making for a questionable first night. These issues were resolved in the subsequent nights. The villa has an open floor plan with a/c available only in the bedrooms which is great during the day but a little creepy and uncomfortable in the evenings due to the insurmountable mosquitoes resistant to repellant. This is an older villa so we encountered some inoperable appliances such as one refrigerator not cooling, the wine chiller not working, low water pressure in the kitchen, fans and lights that have a mind of their own, and smart tvs that weren’t so smart. We were unable to access Netflix or Prime at any given time. Some of these issues could be overlooked on most occasions however there were just too many to ignore this time.

This home exceeded our expectations. We had a total of 9 people, and everyone had a fabulous experience. The views from every angle are gorgeous and open air concept with tropical breezes are transcending. The service was phenomenal. If I had to list anything...I was surprised at the lack of rebuild after hurricane Irma, especially in comparison to St. Barts.
