“The first order I received was great and worked well. The next order the magnets are not as strong and, as a result, does not work very well at all. I sent for a third order because I wanted a 6-ft chord.
I have not even opened the package of my third order as a I am not sure I want to deal with more magnets that are not as strong as the first order magnet. It feels as though you gave me strong magnets in the first order and then future orders, the magnets are weaker. As a result, did not hang on to the phone insert magnet very well. Let’s loose much easier. Not a happy customer.”

That's the main idea, one should not remove the tips in order to keep them convenient, spare their devices port from wearing out over time, and protect them from dirt debris.
Also, if it was easy to remove you would easily lose the magnetic tips.
