Hi, Peggy. In fact you've purchased the more simple version of our cable, which is for charging only. If it is data transfer what you need, you can find it in our Statik 360 Pro version!
Also, the idea is not to remove the tips from your device, and move only the cable. The tips also work greatly as a dirt protector to your port.
