“The purifier was excellent!
It does not sense the air quality at all thus the auto fan mode is pointless. Its just a rudimentary fan with a HEPA filter below as it sucks and blow.
I personally have both Novita and Sterra. Novita air quality sensor really works. I put both of them to the test in the same room. And unfortunately or fortunately, my room has black mould (I eventually removed the mould through proper means) as a guage for poor air quality.
Novita filter is easy to clean as compared to Sterra Moon. Sterra Moon filter is also HEPA filter, but with a mesh as the outer layer. Which means you have to remove dust stuck the mesh by vacuum or dusting it, which also means dust will fly everywhere while dusting. It cannot be washed due to the HEPA filter. Novita mesh filter and HEPA filter is separate, thus the mesh filter can be washed without letting dust out all over again. Design wise, Novita beat Sterra.
Sterra’s app is rudimentary. Its just a wifi remote control for your air purifier. The app is sneaky in collecting your data as well. Remember to disable data collection if you dont want them to collect data. Honestly the app is a wifi remote control, I am suspicious of what data they actually collecting.
But I cannot speak for other Sterra models as I didnt try them out. Maybe other models are better.
