Over 200 hundred individual processes are used to make each pair and can take up to six weeks to complete. Grenson shoe made with over 170 years of fine shoe making since 1866. All Grenson shoes are “Goodyear Welted”, a process invented in the 1800’s in England that is a time consuming way of making shoes, but means that the product lasts longer than any other type of shoes. “Great boot, reasonable price. The sizing is a bit strange but worked out for me. Grensons run VERY large. Size down accordingly. The G fitting also resulted in a boot that was a bit wider and shorter front to back than i'm used to. That being said, I put some aftermarket insoles in mine and the result is quite comfortable after break in. Also, if you're not used to wearing leather soled shoes/boots you may not realize how incredibly slippery they are initially. Be careful. Once they get a bit scuffed up on the soles the icy grip went away. They look absolutely killer and I get compliments every day I wear them. No regrets whatsoever.”
