“I have to give a mixed rating for this product. It terms of appearance it is a 10 out of 10. It looks beautiful. The aesthetics are beyond criticism. The face of the watch has large numbers which is a big plus for an old guy like me. It makes it easy to read. The leather strap is also of a high quality. It looks like it will last a long time.
You can probably sense that a 'but' ,or a 'however' is coming. You would be right. The day and date of the watch is completely out. I have to adjust it at least once, sometimes twice a day. It either shows the previous day, or the next day. It almost never shows the right day and date. I have to adjust it in order for it to be correct. I do not think this is acceptable in a product at this price point.
I have a cheaper and older Timex which has been showing the correct day and date for more than 10 years. That watch was set once. I have not had to adjust it since then. I find the Aviator 3916 to be frustrating. I can only give an overall rating of average because of this nuisance factor.”
