“First time trying out these honey gels for my long runs and hard workouts. Overall they do good job providing a boost during the runs and the different flavours give enough variety for the palate. The packaging is a little wider then most other gel brands which makes it a little harder to get the contents out and a little awkward for me to hold and carry. The trash tag is a good feature but I find it gets in the way sometime during consumption even when bending the tag out of the way. The honey can be thick and super sweet tasting at times sticking to the back of the throat, making it harder to swallow during a run. Sometimes residual stickiness of the honey makes me cough as it sticks to the back of the throat. At time I need to take some fluids after to flush the residual viscous feeling out of the throat and mouth. Overall honey gels are good for training IMO, but for me I would not use it in a race situation. Will have to try warming up the gels and having it less viscous. Overall I like them as it a good natural source of carbs.”
“These honey gels are so yummy and I especially love how they melt easier on your tongue as they warm up, as opposed to other gels that are creamy in texture.”
“For the few months, I’ve added these energy gels to my fuelling routine for long rides, and they’ve worked great. They’re easy on the stomach, and with the variety of flavors available, I haven’t experienced any flavor fatigue. One tip: I bring a small zip-lock bag for the empty packets to keep my cycling jersey from getting sticky. Overall, I highly recommend these gels and have even started gifting them to friends.”
“I used the energy gels for multiple hikes, some at elevation. They kept me going and tasted delicious. Haven't tried the matcha one yet,but the rest were very easy on my stomach.”
