“The energy I get from the gels is great, but I find the consistency difficult to get in and down. Too thick to do it while running or biking. Soaking in hot water helped but need to remember to do beforehand. Also, they are very concentrated (straight honey) so without also taking a copious amount of water with them, I find they burn going down and in my gut. So, they work well, but not without lots of planning ahead and I feel like I for sure have to stop to take them in. Great for training but not so much for events. I do like the flavors and that they are a natural product.”
