“I had been looking at different honey gels for a while for distance running - and even considered making my own at home, when I stumbled on Sun River Honey's free jar day. The 25-pack of gels was on sale for $70, which is as good a deal as you will find on gels anywhere! Getting an extra jar of honey was icing on the cake. As for the gels themselves, the flavours are awesome, and the pull tabs are easy to work on runs, and have been there with me for several long training runs and a half marathon. I will say that I recommend sticking gels into some warm water for a bit before using - as it is honey, which can naturally be a bit thick and tougher to extract on a run. Overall these gels worked great, and gave me that quick, natural sugar boost that I needed at various stages of runs - without the gut issues that often occur with other gels. As someone who spent several years working with a apiary in Saskatchewan - it was also great to find a good local source for honey gels. Shipping was super quick as well!”
