even with the backlighting, there are times the keyboard characters are difficult to make out. I dont think the backlighting on the keyboard stay on long enough.

So far I love this case. It was super easy to pair the keyboard to the tablet and they keyboard works very well. I didnt think I would care much about the backlighting on the keyboard but it is actually kind of nice. I love that I can remove the keyboard (super strong magnets hold it on the case), and it feels surprisingly sturdy for being so small and light. The keyboard holds a charge very well (I havent needed to recharge it yet, but I usually turn it off between uses). The case feels pretty sturdy also. There was a good deal of thought put in, there is even a magnet on the back to hold the little flap away from the screen. In spite of bumping around in my bag for about a month, there is no sign of wear yet. It is easy to insert and remove the tablet, and the corners feel veru secure and dont cause any visible screen warping. I also have a screen protector on the tablet and it doesnt affect the fit at all. I feel like the little flap that holds the case closed will show some wear before the rest of the case, it has some fine lines from being folded back and forth. There is also only one angle you can set the case/tablet to when open, which is a minor thing but might be a bigger deal for some people. The stand is held securely flat when not in use by a magnet. Especially for the price, this case is definitely worth the investment. (A side note: it came with information to contact customer support, and I was emailed a week after receiving it asking if I was enjoying it. They appear to stand by their product!)

I am only 2 days into using the portfolio case and found great things about it but I dont think it will work for me in the long run. The cons just outweigh the pros. Below are some of my thoughts about the case: Case use: Used with the Huawei mediapad t3-10 primarily for taking lecture notes and other typical university student activities Pros: 1. nice tactile keyboard (easy to press and compactly spaced without being too foreign when typing) 2. vibrant keyboard backlight (changes colours and brightness, I thought this was really neat!) 3. faux leather design makes for a luxurious look 4. claws/grips keep the tablet steady Cons: 1. Although it keeps the tablet stable, I find that the claws/grips are very stiff and it takes a while to get the tablet to fit. This is one of my biggest concerns because Im afraid that one wrong move would damage my tablets screen. 2. Bulk - I underestimated the size of this case. 3. The supporting stand does not offer much stability at all. It dislodges very easily from just a gentle nudge. 4. In addition, the supporting stand only allows one viewing angle. There is not much allowance for adjusting the angle of the tablet. It is impossible to keep the tablet upright if I tried to change its angle. If youre in the position where you are looking down on at your tablet, then I think youd be fine. But say you put your tablet on a higher-than-normal table, then good luck viewing your tablet from a comfortable angle. I found this to be very annoying especially when sitting at different heights. I think the tablet has a lot of potential if improvements were made to the ergonomics of the design. The flashy design is definitely there but functionality can be improved. A great case but not functional for me in the long term. ***Update: Initially, I put down "I cant find a way to change the backlight colors into 5 other colors.. As of now, when I press the light bulb icon, only shows the green and teal color. First press, green color. Second press, teal color. Third press, no light." as one of the cons but I eventually figured out how to change the keyboard colour into 7 other ones. If you are in a situation like mine, its best to look up the instructions online as its not in the instruction papers included in the package***
