“The shields are nice heavy duty metal. There is one rubber bumper for each shield but there are more contact points with the frame that could use a bumper in those areas. The rubber is very soft, so be careful installing the bumpers. I should have used silicon spray, since one of them started splitting apart when installing it. Also, the box was starting to split open when I received the package. Thankfully, everything was still there. The branded tape may look nice, but it doesn't hold the box together very well. Consider improving that to prevent damage or missing parts in the future.
Installation Tip: Don't tighten anything down before all the bolts are threaded. I made this mistake and it took me almost an hour to figure out what I was doing wrong. The other side took me 10 minutes.”
“So far it looks great and easy is install but beware sharp edges and a little bit heavy. Make sure you have it bolted all the way before you let go of it if your underneath if not will cause head injury with gash!! Haha!! But I like it I like it!!”
“Was a very easy install without needing to lift the truck up. Was installed on a TRD OffRoad 4x4 with stock tires. Watch out for installing the brace back with the stock bolts!! Use a hand ratchet!!! My Dewalt atomic tore the head right off the bolt.”
“Thicker stainless steel than expected. Fine installation video. Clever security bolts. Any parking lot thieves would be deterred, most definitely. Tacoma Beast Cat Shields are a great value and quite stout—better quality than I expected…”
“Shipment was on time. Install was very easy to do. I just watched the cali-raised video installment and the instructions were clear. I’m glad Im at peace when I have I dont have to worry about my catalytic.”
