We started taking Cara babies when my son was 4 months old. He was still waking every 3-4 hours and we were very concerned how we would function once we went back to work. I was able to tailor his sleep training to something I was comfortable doing and within a week he was sleeping through the night. He sleeps 11-12 hours and goes down with no problem. I can’t speak highly enough about any of her programs

It’s good information, but we haven’t found the strategies to be effective.

Hi Katharine, I'm sad to hear that you're not seeing success so far. Would you reach out to info@takingcarababies.com about what you're struggling with? We have a whole team of expert sleep consultants who would love to help you with next steps.

It's hard for me to rate the course because I ended up not using it. We didn't swaddle our daughter, she refused all pacifiers, and we didn't want to be trapped in a dark room with white noise playing 24/7. Every family copes differently. I didn't have the physical energy to put the baby down, have her wake up, pick her back up and repeat. To anyone reading this - it will get better with or without sleep training. It takes time and it sucks, but it will get better!

I am so grateful for the First Five Months course. Cars does such an amazing job of explaining and demonstrating how to teach you how to help your baby to fall asleep on their own and learn to sleep long stretches. It isn’t “sleep training” in the traditional sense. It is a very gentle approach with lots of flexibility to meet the needs of each individual baby and parent.

We took this class on whim after many sleepless nights when our daughter was about 5 weeks old and saw an improvement on night number one. She is now 10 weeks old and sleeping 6 or 7 hours during her long stretch of sleep at night. I can even watch her on the camera putting herself back to sleep during naps. It’s all thanks to the skills we learned in the class. We are moving on to the next section next week!

Though I contacted the TCB team in advance of buying the First Five Months bundle to make sure it would be applicable to my situation (newborn twins in the same room) and was assured the course would address multiples, I found that wasn’t the case. Aside from a note at the end of the class acknowledging that SITBACK is hard to do with more than one baby, advice for twins wasn’t included. If you have one baby, this course might be what you need. If you have twins (or more), you might find the lack of guidance around how to use the offered strategies frustrating.

Hi Jenna, I'm sad to hear you've been struggling. I noticed that you didn't get a chance to dive into the "More Help" section of the class yet. Please know that there's an entire video in that section of your course called "I need more help with multiples" that I think you'll find so helpful. If you still don't feel it's the right fit, please know we have a 30-day money-back guarantee to protect your investment.

This course was so helpful, especially as a third time mom. I did not use this for my first two kids, we used the cry it out method and it was miserable. So after reading and watching all these videos, I hit the ground running. Yes, this takes time, as it should, but well worth it! We started when my daughter was 7 weeks old and it took her about a month to catch on. Not to say everything was perfect, there were highs and lows. Then with her developmental changes there were set backs. We just kept on pushing through. Now at almost 8 months, she mostly sleeps through the night, sometimes waking to feed if she doesn’t get enough milk in the day. She has a tongue tie though, so she doesn’t always finish her feedings. Her day time naps are stellar! We are on a pretty good schedule each day. Thank you so so much!!! This program saved my sanity!!

This is the BEST money we have EVER spent. The first night that we listened through the course we implemented it at bedtime. OUR BABY SLEPT 8 HOURS STRAIGHT. My husband and I woke up and cried when we realized that she had slept through the night and that neither of us had gotten up with her! (Prior to TCB, we slept in shifts and she slept in 2 hour intervals.) TCB’s daytime routine has a rhythm that makes feeding and sleep cues very evident. Just having a standardized response protocol, for when she is crying or going to sleep, gave us something to focus on doing and kept us calm while soothing her! 12/10 - I recommend this to EVERYONE!
