Buy something else! The hot water portion of this unit is inconsistent at best. Don’t get me wrong it works, but if you are washing dishes and are turning the water on and off you will not have hot water for long at all. As far as the zone heat side my unit is concerned that works “better”. For what ever reason the unit gets stuck in fill mode and won’t snap out of it unless you run the hot water and then unplug/reboot the unit.

If you are using hot water and you stop the water in the line will sit and cool, and has to flow through before you get to the hot water coming from the unit the next time you use that point of use. You may want to look into a recirculation pump that will allow for instant hot water by recirculating the water from the previous use so that you do not have to wait for the water that would have otherwise sat and cooled. If while hot water is being used it is intermittent, and you do not have other points of use turning on and off at the same time, I recommend contacting technical support, as that should not be happening,. The units should provide continuous hot water, because it is heating the water you are using as you are using it.

Incredible unit provides hot water very quickly and has comfortably provided enough water to be running the dishwasher, washing machine, while taking a hot shower. The heating on it is also very effective with quick response and super easy setup.

I replaced my old 1968 Rheem boiler and a 5 year old water heater with a new Rheem combination home heating boiler/domestic water heater. It is working great and we are seeing a monthly average 30%+ reduction in natural gas useage. It should pay for itself in 8 to 10 years, which is 2 years before the warrantee expires. Love it!

I am sorry to hear that. We have heard nothing but possitive things about the combi units until now. That said these units are not supposed to leak or have other issues in regards to providing hydronic heat or domestic hot water. It is a brand new unit that is fully under warranty. If the unit is leaking or not functioning properly please contact technical support, and if it is defective and needs to be replaced we will get you a new unit.
