Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“When we arrived the site was dirty. The toilet had not been cleaned and the toilet bags were sitting in urine. There was an active wasp nest under the table which the proprietor did nothing about and the provided extra tent was riddled with holes letting in insects. Perhaps these issues were due to the pandemic but we would never go back.”
“When booking, it was not made clear that you needed an SUV to get to campsite or that there were three sites on the property. We did not learn that until the day before when the tent keeper sent a message through tentrr. This was important information. Because of COVID we never met the tent keepers face to face. In terms of the site, there is a loud and active ATV trail right behind the Tentrr campsite. Additionally, when we arrived the tentrr loo was disgusting. The bags we were supposed to use were sitting in urine in the loo. We ended up needing to clean it all up ourselves. Luckily we brought clorox wipes. There were other minor issues such as holes in the screens of the tents, broken Adirondack chair, not enough water in the shower and an extremely dirty mattress as our bed. Additionally, the final straw was that there were three small, active hornets nests under our table that we were supposed to eat at and two people in our party were stung. When we let the tent keepers know about the nest, we got no response. They did leave new grille utensils for us and the wood we paid for was there waiting for us. Overall, I would not recommend this site and would never stay here again. However, I may try a different tentrr site but would do a bit more research to ensure quality and safety of site.”
“Overall our trip was ok. There were instructions given ahead of time but they were a bit unclear, and despite giving an ETA ahead of time, when we arrived we could not contact the host for questions. We tried calling and messaging and waited for an hour and there was no response. By the time we managed to figure out how to get to the campsite by ourselves we had no signal and no way of reaching out. The host never came to check in on us.
The campsite was great and as pictured. Really nice area, plenty of space, and the amenities were great. However, it was clear the tent itself had not been inspected and not cleaned. There was some food left out on the airbed and a ton of ants crawling on it. We had to clean it ourselves before settling in. Because of the food left behind there were also mice in the tent (fyi there's a hole at the back of the tent where they got in). We also had to get rid of the mice ourselves. There were also two airbeds provided, both of them unfortunately were about 50% deflated and there was no way of pumping it up further.
Overall great location, but wish there was better communication, and wish the sleeping space was properly inspected and cleaned of food beforehand.”
“Overall the stay was great. However there were a few hiccups along the way. The instructions weren’t super clear and the host was difficult to reach. We sent out ETA as instructed and when we got there it wasn’t clear whether it was ok to drive into the property and the host could not be reached despite calling and messaging. We waited an hour or so before driving up a very precarious and rough path up.
The campsite itself was lovely, and precisely as pictured. However inside the tent it was clear that it hadn’t been clean. There was food all over the air bed, which attracted a ton of ants, which we had to get rid of before settling in. The food also attracted mice into the tent, which we also had to chase out. (FYI There is a hole at the back of the tent where the mice got in). There were two air mattresses provided but both were about 50% or so filled, and no way to pump it up.
The campsite itself is great, amenities provided were awesome, just wished that the tent was more thoroughly inspected and cleared beforehand.”
“Amazing camp site! Perfect if you want to have privacy and feel secluded without being in the middle of nowhere!
Lauren did a great job in setting up the camp site for us. We had no issues with bugs, wasps, or any of the resources.
Perfect spot for first time campers!”
“Beautiful sustainable farm - grounds were stunning. Enjoyed a beer tasting at the store at the base of the property. Unfortunately, a yellow jacket nest inside the provided furniture wasn't the lasting memory for which our family had hoped (nature!). Bunnies mentioned in site overview were staying at another farm.”
“We absolutely loved the farm and the addition of the brewery tour was worth every penny. We will be telling all of our friends that they have to visit and we’ll definitely be back.”
