“Our first Tentrr experience and it was amazing. My husband, dog and I spent a perfect Labor Day weekend at Slice of Heaven. Huge gorgeous meadow with spectacular mountain views. Warm days and cool nights with stunning starry skies. Cooked up some gourmet camp meals over the fire. Woke up to the sun rising over mountains. Slept to the sound of crickets. And we had no issues at all with mosquitoes or ticks. Mike and MaryDan are wonderful hosts and provide a lot of campsite extras so you need to bring very little other than cooler, food, towels, and bedding (the latter which they also provide for a fee). Mike also provided some great advice for places to swim, hike and bike, Lots of options nearby. Really a special, beautiful place that will live in our memories for a long time. Including our dog’s memory...he is now more spoiled that ever. Thanks Tentrr, Mike and MaryDan!”
“Amazing spot—especially if you have a city dog longing for some unfettered off-leash time. The spot is serene & secluded, and near a few great swimming holes. Mike & MaryDan are wonderful hosts; MaryDan even drove over to the campsite when my battery died to give me a jump! Highly recommend.”
“We enjoyed our stay at the Tentrr in Thetford. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful, the site was clean and had all the necessities. They gave us a great recommendation for lunch - The Lunch Box in Fairlee was great. Our only complaint would be the prevalence of wood ticks at the Tentrr Site. Because of the location in the field, the camp keepers did a nice job of clearing the field and spraying for ticks, however, the ticks were still around and were on our chairs, and found them on us a number of times. We also noticed a few areas of holes from the underneath screen where critters could get into the tent. The airbeds were a bit deflated, but we were able to inflate them easily with the pump the camp keepers provided us.
Outside of that, we had a very nice stay at this Tentrr Site. Thank you Michael and MaryDan.”
“This was our second time at Mike’s Tentrr spot - we can’t get enough of it! The site is very peaceful, full of wild flowers and the location is great - very close to lake Fairlee and Mike suggested a lot of great hiking options around that we missed out on last time. Hanover, NH was only a 15 min drive and had good food options too. Don’t miss out on the steak dinner and breakfast and you’ll enjoy the view even more. Very very recommended!”
“This place really lived up to its name. It was amazing from start to finish. Michael and Maryann were amazing, they gave us a quick overview of what is close to the site and where we can hiking and get to the closest general stores. We opted for the steak dinner addition, which was well thought out, the squash and potatoes were fully cooked, they just needed to be warmed over the fire, MaryAnn's tomatoes with basil and balsamic reduction was almost as amazing as the view of the stars from the site. This campsite was easily accessed a hiking trail that leads to a 360-degree view of the White Mountains and Lake Fairlee. The site is extremely easy to get to from the highway, it is right off I-91. We will definitely come back.”
“A slice of Heaven was a beautiful campsite, and we thoroughly enjoyed our night there. The view is absolutely gorgeous, with the open field and mountains in the background. The steak dinner, provided was delicious, as where the baked potatoes and tomatoes from Michael's garden. We loved sitting by the fire watching the sun set, and then looking up at the stars. I highly highly recommend this campsite to everyone.”
