We had a wonderful time camping on Clare’s property. Everything we needed was provided: toilet paper, a cast iron pan, cooking utensils, a French press, plates and cups, bug spray, matches, etc etc. The campsite was very easy to find—it’s large enough that you feel like you’re really in the middle of the woods but close enough to the road to feel safe should anything go wrong. Clare was an excellent host, just a text away if we needed anything. We couldn’t find the start of the trail to the river and she responded with directions immediately, giving us extra info on how to find the swimming hole. The trail isn’t as easy as other reviewers suggested it was—it’s a decent 15 minute hike through the woods on an unkept trail, with some steep parts, so bring proper sneakers. It is well worth the walk though—the river and swimming hole were beyond lovely and you have it all to yourself. Lots of fish (we caught some and threw them back), bird watching, and even some turtles—and the water was warm enough to swim in in early June. It’s a magical place to watch the sun go down over a couple of cold beers—just don’t forget your flashlight for the walk back.

This site was very nice and all the equipment was in great shape. Clare added some thoughtful touches by leaving extras such as sealed water, a pumpkin for decoration, a big frying pan, and some miscellaneous supplies of things like bug spray, paper towels, etc. The wood stove in the tent came in handy, as our first night got down in the 30's but we were very comfortable. Would recommend this site to others for sure.

The whole Tentrr experience is great I theory but needs MAJOR work to make it worth the value. Mostly the customer service and communion is horrible. They don't speak to you live or try to really help fix any issues with booking or questions. As for the equipment the stuff provided is ok, better in pictures than the actual experience. As for the host we never heard or saw her until we had issues not finding the place. We sent a messages a week ahead to be prepared and no one responded. Then the day if we didn't receive a 5 star experience. We never saw or had any laterns, shower, etc. We will try it again and choose a better site that provides the full experience.

I have no camping experience and it was amazing ! The tent is exactly like the pictures. The tent is cozy, feels safe and is very clean. She also has a lot of things to use kitchen wise such as a kettle for hot water and a coffee press which was great since I love a good cup of coffee in the morning. There was plenty of wood for the fire at night and plenty of privacy. Since I am not a master camper I did bring a torch and some fire starters with us which really came in handy but there are plenty of leafs and branches to help start the fire which we also managed. The torch was really handy. We also had a hatchet for helping split some of the wood to make some of the piece smaller and more fire friendly. We went shopping around Woodstock (15 to 20 minuets away) and found everything we needed there. From local beer and meats to seasoned wood for the wood burning stove inside the tent. We have a Jeep Patriot and were able to park the car very close to the tent so we kept food in the car for safety which was helpful. We did the hike to the Esopus and it is a downward path marked with a white dot which made it simple to find so we could do some fishing. There were plenty of rainbow trout as well as a pike or two. Beautiful hawks in the sky and the section that the hiking trail leads you to is something out of a painting. We didn't see another person there. If you are looking for peace you will find it there. Clair was very helpful and always took my calls if we had any questions and yes we had cell service but not at the esopus ( we have AT&T if that helps). She really made us feel like we were there on our own enjoying nature roasting marshmallows and playing checkers at night, it was a great experience for my husband and I.

We had an amazing time! It was so private and easy to get to Woodstock, which was 15 mins away.

Clare was great - she met us when we arrived and showed us around the camp and even provided a cast iron pan and pot for cooking which was SO useful. The highlight is the swimming hole - nothing beats being able to wake up, do a short hike to the most beautiful, private oasis and jump in -so refreshing and heavenly to then walk home and have breakfast over a camp fire! We saw a bald eagle one morning there (!!). A great experience and would definitely recommend it. Thank you Clare!

Our short camping trip was a wonderful experience! Both my son and I had a great time building our fire, hiking through the property to the creek and waterfall. The campsite was clean, and well equipped. Clare, the owner, is a lovely person - super helpful with our many questions! And her pup Cairo is a great guide to the swimming hole - and a great swimmer. At night, we enjoyed the peacefulness of the woods surrounding us. We look forward to the next time our schedule will allow us to go camping at Aqua Esfera!
