“This was the perfect place to recharge after a full day of hiking the area. We were plenty warm with the heat source. It was very private and all we heard was the stream and owls. We did get to see a couple deer passing by the woods behind us.”
“We LOVED staying here and will prob be back! Such a private set up so you feel far away, but you’re also about 15 min to the main town in Jim Thorpe. And the scenery is just beautiful!”
“This was a return trip, it was just as nice as the first time. We brought our new baby along with us and it was the perfect place to start our camping journey as a new party of three. Such a beautiful spot.”
“My husband and I absolutely love this site, especially if you bring a dog. You really don't have to worry about bringing much, Wayne supplies everything. The site is secluded with a stream running by it. The opposite side of the stream is a steep hill so you don't have anyone interrupting your privacy. There is a huge field next to the site for your dogs to run free.
Wayne sells firewood so you don't need to leave and search for it. There is a winery less than a half mile away with pretty good wine. He has an extra tent if you bring extra people, and a nice fire pit. It is a very relaxing place to spend a weekend.”
“This is a place I want to rave about, but also want to be selfish and not talk about. The stay Stream Side was a much needed vacay. The sound of running water, the space, everything was perfect. I would 10/10 come back again. The booking process was easy and communication with the hosts was great. The weather was perfect on our stay, but there is plenty to do around the site if the weather is less than ideal.”
“I plan on making this place my go to every summer campsite. I loooove the seclusion and privacy. The sound of the creek wooed us to sleep. So peaceful. So close to God. Thank you Wayne and your wonderful wife for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. Hope to see you again next summer❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“The pictures do this place no justice at all. It is exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. Tent is literally steps into the stream/river which is chilly but refreshing. What isn’t in the picture is the giant open field steps from the campsite which was perfect for kicking around a soccer ball, dogs running their hearts out and a nice picnic in the sun in front of the water.
The water is moving and about knee/thigh high. We got heavy rains the first night so it got deeper. Never too deep or fast that we were nervous with the dogs but did keep an eye on them in the faster moving spots across the river. I would definitely recommend bringing some floats with rope to tie to a tree!
We didn’t want to leave the campsite but if you do there is a beer/ice place right down the street and a winery. I thought cooler/ice was included but might have read it wrong, the ice place was close and convenient!
Bed was very comfortable, clean sheets and smelled nice! Would definitely return!”
