“This place was exactly what we needed. Just beautifully located 25 minutes from Durango, it was a perfect camping getaway. Their land is right on the river, and you can hike around see the stars, and have a fire. It’s the luxury of camping without all the work of setting up. It was perfect to be able to get the camping outdoor feeling so close to the city. Kim was also the best host, arriving to delicious homemade cookies. She makes you feel like you’re staying with family. She’s so welcoming and kind. Not only would I stay here again, but I’ve been telling all my friends how wonderful it is!”

“There is only one word to describe Kim & Terry's property, "magical." You feel like you are a million miles away camping in the mountains with the trees surrounding you & the sound of the river rushing by but, close to all the amenities & attractions the area has to offer. We had an amazing time fishing the river in front of tent (caught rainbow & brown trout), going up to Vallecito lake, & driving into Durango for dinner. It's the perfect oasis for a quick getaway, extended stay, couples getaway, or family vacation! Kim & Terry were prompt with communication and offered extra amenities at the campsite (propane grill w/propane). Our stay exceeded our expectations and cannot wait to stay at this beautiful property again!!!”
“This Tenterr spot is amazing. The hosts, Kim and Terry, are friendly, helpful and ready to lend a hand with anything you might need. They greeted us with cookies at the picnic table and firewood for our marshmallows. And we have to mention the river - so cold and refreshing- it kept out watermelon and beer cold! Highly recommend this spot and we can’t wait to come back”
“First off, wow! What an amazing site. A beautiful spacious tent right on the river. Secluded enough for a real camping experience but also close enough for any necessities that may have been forgotten. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating to anything we could have needed. Fresh flowers were left at the site which was a wonderful addition. They also brought a propane grill for us just in case we needed. The place is wonderful for families but also for two or solo. I will definitely stay again if I get the chance!”
