My girlfriend and I have stayed at a little over a dozen Tentrr sites and this is easily one of the best Tentrr sites we have stayed at. The site itself is gorgeous, clean and well kept. There’s plenty of room for a group too. This site is perfect situated so you see a sky full of stars. There’s barely any light pollution so get ready for an epic camping experience at night. Our host, Akousa, was absolutely wonderful. She greeted us at the tender site and gave us a tour of the site. She gave us tips for things to do in the area and went out of her way to make absolutely sure we had everything we were going to need considering the weather was not going to be on our side the weekend we stayed here. She was so accommodating and checked in on us to made sure we were ok after a lot of heavy rain. There’s plenty of firewood, hiking trails and quiet all around. We also opted for the sauna. Mark my words, you will not be disappointed. We stayed for three days and two nights and each day we went into the sauna. What a surreal camping experience this was. In front of the sauna there’s a small pond that you can take a dive into. There’s even fish so bring your fishing pole. This place is also right around the corner from Walmart (15 mins). So you can stock up right before you get to camp. This is truly one of the hidden gems of Tentrr.

This is truly the hidden gem of Tentrr sites. It's beautifully secluded and can only be accessed by a private road. Akosua went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was excellent. Protip: Book the sauna. It's an experience not to be missed!

Our weekend at Spicewood was amazing. Akosua was a great host, she showed us the site and how to use the Sauna. The sauna and the pond were the highlights of this trip. These are not too far from the tent but at the same time they felt secluded. We brought with us two floaties and it was very relaxing just being in the middle of the pond enjoying the view. The tent was very comfortable, and it was very quiet at night. Definitely coming back! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful long Memorial Day weekend camping at Spicewood. It was really nice having the two different atmospheres on the property to hang out in : the open meadow area and then the wooded area with the creek and the pond. What really made this campsite shine was the amazing and authentic Finnish sauna on the small cold pond (perfect for plunging into after heating up in the sauna). This was great car camping, just pull the car up and unload, and if you forgot something you can’t rive to a nearby town to pick up some essentials. There was an occasional sound of a lawn mower from neighbors in the area but this did not affect our trip and we mostly were surrounded by the peaceful and lovely sound of the stream, with birds chirping and owls hooting! At night sitting out by the fire in the open meadow we all witnessed some of the most amazing shooting stars we had ever seen! The camp owner, Akosua, was great and we found her to be very kind and thoughtful - she put up a shade structure as there was some predicted rain, and we had a baby with our camping crew. As for the area nearby, just a short drive away there were many state parks, hiking trails, and we found a waterfall that was a highlight of our trip as well. We definitely would recommend camping at Spicewood if you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful nature getaway with the easy access of having your car nearby! Thank you Akosua!

This is an absolutely magical site ! Upon arrival the camp host was so kind and showed us around. The tent is situated in a large field , which at night offered a beautiful view of the stars, and aside from the field there was a peaceful path over the seasonal stream that lead to the pond and sauna. Whether we wanted some peace and tranquility, or some adventure, this site was perfect for everything. There was so much to enjoy!
