“My husband and I spent a lovely weekend at the Ashokan Reservoir Retreat.It is a little tricky to find (I would not recommend arriving after dark like we did) but as long as you take your time, you will get there. The site is completely tucked away giving you complete privacy - making the trip in worth the effort. Even with a little drizzle and clouds it was wonderful being outdoors. The tent stays completely dry and honestly for mid October stayed pretty warm - note we had 60-70 degree and 50 degree weather in evening, so if it were colder we would have needed more than the down comforter we used for cover (note the comforter, flowers, and wine did not come with the tent but bringing them gave an even homier feel :). Joel was very accommodating and even allowed us to extend our last day a few hours since we had to arrive late. In the end, it was a perfect getaway from our hectic lives.”

“We loved our campsite. Peaceful and quiet, perfect for a weekend to get away, relax and unplug. Plenty of chipmunks, birds, and other wildlife to observe. The reservoir itself is enormous and breathtaking. Our campsite keepers were extremely nice as well. Will definitely return!”
