Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“This was a great visit. The tent was in great condition & the site was super private, although a bit of a distance from the bathhouse (~quarter mile uphill). Camden Hills had a boil water proviso in effect, so that was a minor inconvenience. Note that "sleeps six" did not mean six beds, unless you're really cozy. There are two queen bunks. Also note that if you have kids who are not used to bunks, there are no rails on the bunks. We had a good laugh when the 12 year old rolled, sleeping bag and all, off the top bunk without waking up or remembering being led back up the ladder. "Oh, that must be why my knee hurts this morning." Also note that the proximity to the water is misleading on a 2-D map. The site is probably 70' above sea level, and trees block a direct view. Nevertheless, sounds of birds, crashing surf and lobstermen checking their pots are unobstructed! Hope you enjoy as much as we did.”
“Clean and comfortable with plenty of space for additional tents as needed. In a secluded area of the campground near the water, which contains this Tentrr site as well as one other.”
“Tent zippers were broken on both tents we rented. There is no “bay view” just lots of trees and brush. Trail to water is very steep and unsafe. Openings on all four corners
To let bugs and other small critters into tent. Masking tape was used unsuccessfully to cover the openings. Park rangers were very helpful and responsive.
Will not return.”
Hey there Patricia, thanks for the feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our sites. However, since your review, we checked in with the host to mention your concerns and they were able to submit a maintenance request to get the zipper fixed. Since your stay, the zipper has indeed been fixed, and again, we apologize for the inconvienence here.
We hope to see you out camping again soon!
Cheers!

“The site is relatively private, if too close to the road and lacking a screen of trees. The tent was clean but we did experience a surprise because when we booked it the photos showed a regular queen size bed and instead we found a Queen bunkbed (the photos have since been updated). The air mattress barely fit and it was not possible for us to sit upright on the bed due to the upper bunk, but it was OK. I think in the future I’d bring our thick camping pads and take the air mattress off. The site was missing the promised water carrier but the excellent and helpful camp staff found one for us and delivered it full of water. Please note that they had no idea there was supposed to be a water carrier and normally do not provide one even though it is in the description. The site was far from the bathrooms — particularly at night — but it also meant we were far from others. The campsite was blissfully quiet at night and when we got overnight rain the second night our tent stayed comfortable and dry. The grill for the campfire was in very rough shape — warped and rusty, but that’s a reminded that this is a state park, not a B&B.”
