“My girlfriend and I spent two nights at Whispering Pine and had a really wonderful time. John has a lovely little slice of land tucked away in Southern Vermont. The spot is very back to basics which is exactly what we were looking for, we pitched a tent, made a fire, and cooked meal after meal in our dutch oven with a couple glasses of wine to boot. There is an RV option but we opted for our own gear, however it looked nice and cozy. We also brought our little dog who absolutely loved the place.
During the day we headed to a lovely little creek down the road, which might have been the coldest water I've ever swam in, but it felt amazing. On top of all that, John stopped by for a brief second to water his beautiful garden. He was super nice and helpful with any questions we had. He even recommended some really great swimming holes on our drive back.
We've been camping many times before at State parks and more traditional camping locations, but to have a secluded area that is just your own was really lovely. I couldn't recommend Whispering Pine more.”
“Whispering Pine was just up the mountainside from North Adams and all of its amenities, but felt like you were camping in rural Vermont. We wished we had a chance to try out the nearby swimming hole, but we spent so much time hiking the nearby Taconic Crest Trail that we got back after dark. There was plenty of room for our group to set up our tents and we made good use of both fire rings. John was a friendly host, and was quick to respond to my messages. I would highly suggest Whispering Pine.”
