Great site! A little muddy when it rains. Clean mattress covers would have made it a five. Also, "loo" pop up tent is not really ideal for adult use; it gets a little tight in there with the lid open! Loves having propane heaters!!

We had a great stay! The spot was exactly as described. The attentive groundskeepers made sure we were comfortable. I loved that we had the whole area to ourselves and the proximity to the water. I can't wait to go back again.

Site A is remote and shows off everything WV wilderness has to offer. You can hear the creek while falling asleep and appreciate the large rock formations around the site. Fire pits are under a massive Boulder/ cave. No cell coverage, easy walk in. Amenities were as described. Highly recommend.

Nice secluded location. Site I and Site A are the most secluded sites in Hawk's Nest with Site I being the best overall site. Site A is right beside a creek which is nice to hear and fall asleep to. It's the closest site and a very short walk to the famous tram that takes you to the top of the mountain, which is nice. We had music playing on max volume on a big boombox speaker and we walked to the main road and I couldn't hear it, so while you can see the tents from the road, it's far enough away that you are secluded. Great site. Would stay here again

We really enjoyed our stay at Hawk's Nest State Park. The site was very private and the State Park was beautiful. We hiked the Rail Trail and really liked the hike. Highly recommend both the camping site and the State Park. Our overall experience was very positive. We will definitely be back.

Great “camping” experience without all of the hassle of bringing and pitching your own tent! The location right next to the river was perfect scenery and white noise for sleeping. Make sure to bring your own camping lights!
