“We had a great time at the Rhodes End retreat! Maria and Steve are very gracious and helpful hosts that made the experience fun and stress free. The campsite is not accessible by car, but Maria and Steve will help you take your gear to site via a short but fun ATV ride. The accommodations are all in good shape, and it is so nice to not have to worry about pitching a tent. Be sure to bring fire wood as it is not provided. Overall it was a great experience and highly recommended!”
“This was exactly what we needed, stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. The hosts are accommodating and it was easy to communicate with them. There is a bit of a walk up to the site and they offered to give you a ride with your stuff which made it super simple. The campsite alone felt like you were deep into a neck of woods, the creek running through was super relaxing. Everything was set up for your convenience and added amenities, such as shower and pop up loo. I recommend this site to anyone looking for a camp get away. 10/10”
“This place was amazing! We stayed for two nights and are already planning on going back before winter hits. The accommodations were nice and clean, and the location was perfect - quiet and remote. The site had a fire pit with a campfire grill, a covered area with picnic table and little storage table, plenty of Adirondack chairs, a hammock, a pop-up toilet, sun shower, and of course, the tent with the bed inside. There was also a lot of little things added that honestly made everything so much easier, such as electric lanterns next to the bed, and cookware for grilling. It was a perfect mix of “roughing it” and “glamping”. There is no running water near the site, but Maria and Steve provide you with a full water cooler which provided us with more than enough water for the entirety of our stay.
The land itself was also gorgeous. The site is right next to a very calming creek, and there is so much land for hiking - you don’t even have to leave the campsite. But if you want to, the site is close to downtown ithaca plus all the parks and gorges.
The trail from the parking to the site would be a bit of a hike, but Maria and Steve happily transported us back and forth as needed on the UTV. They both were extremely accommodating and lovely people.
Our dogs also loved the site, as they got to run around as much as they wanted and we didn’t have to worry about them bothering anyone.
Overall, it was an incredible experience made all the better by the hospitality and generosity of the hosts. High high recommend. We will definitely be returning.”
“It was a pleasure meeting Maria and Steve and had a wonderful stay! Their campsite is tucked away in the picturesque and hilly forest. We loved sleeping next to the gurgling steam in the comfy bed. It’s a lovely campsite we’d highly recommend, and offers gorgeous sunset from the expansive nearby field.
We appreciated that they were able to drive our gear to the site in their ATV. It was quite a fun adventure of a ride!

“The hosts were great and the camp site was exactly as pictured. It was more "real camping" than me or my boyfriend had ever experienced. We had a great time exploring the area and the hosts were kind enough to drive us up to the site upon our arrival on their UTV so we didn't have to lug everything up ourselves. They also brought us to our car when we checked out. I think we underestimated the hike to the campsite, it's not too long but there's a very steep section that we struggled with a little. I wish there were more images of the hike to give a better representation, but other than that everything was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!”

Maria & Steve were very accommodating and helpful…the site was exactly as described. Having the stream next to the campsite was wonderful. I loved the sound of it!”
