4/25/2022- The property really is special and we lucked upon beautiful weather to enjoy it. 75 acres of interesting rock formations and farmland that is well maintained. Signage is good to direct you to the campsite and the road is in good condition - any car could make it to the site. The site in the nut orchard is spacious and we saw a beautiful owl during our stay. Comfy bed and space heater. A truly peaceful site. The farm-raised eggs were delicious and the flowers I added on were gorgeous. The location is great too because it is so close to Leesburg and wineries, yet far removed from everything. The property is along the Potomac River but I didn't find any cleared path that actually goes down to the river's edge other than the steep boat launch - the communal deck is set away from the floodplain smartly but didn't appear to have been used much recently. It is nice to see how the next generation at this farm is doing their own thing while helping keep the farm going, and clearly cares about sustainability and living along with nature here. I hope to stay again and that is why I am providing such a detailed review with suggestions below. Would very gladly provide a 5 star review if the following items were addressed - The tent zipper was broken, which I was informed of before arrival and I'm sure the host will fix/replace, but it ended up being a significant problem for us because many (~7) wasps entered the tent and I had to capture or kill them, unfortunately, for us to feel comfortable staying in this tent. Not much the host could have done about this I guess - I hope it's an easy fix. It would be helpful if there was a designated spot for the sunshower and a stool to help you hang it up. I eventually found one tree that has a good branch but not many options close by. The sun shower is quite nice when you get it going. The Tentrr tent design has a few flaws that seem easily addressable. The tent includes holes and gaps that let in insects and I would recommend some kind of corner patches and tieing in a floor barrier, just as you would expect out of a pop-up tent. I was unclear about what exactly to do with the loo provided, so maybe something additional in the camp manual would help detail which bags to use and what to do with it upon checkout. A privacy pop up barrier option for the loo is provided (for groups who don't know each other like that), but perhaps a nice improvement would be to install 6 ft fence panel as a privacy barrier. Thank you for sharing your glamping retreat!

We celebrated our 5-year anniversary away from our one-year old (first long weekend away!) and puppy and it was the most peaceful and awesome experience! The tent has everything you need and love the touches of the tiki torches and outdoor lights that you can have going while you have a fire, sipping on some wine while relaxing in the Adirondack chairs. Nearby water was perfect for fishing, and hiking areas all around. Location is super close to wineries, breweries, downtown King Street in Leesburg with tons of places to eat/drink/explore. WE loved our time here, waking up to the views outside and will definitely be back. Thanks so much!!

The camp site and overall farm property is absolutely serene and spacious. The girls had a great time exploring and the abundant fields and trees were such a perfect setting for our getaway. We put our paddleboard in the river via the drop in and it was such a treat to have that access so close by. The downsides are as other reviewers have mentioned that airplane noise for a few hours a night where air traffic seems a bit congested. Also, there's a wedding venue nearby and you can hear their entertainment all evening until about 10pm.

We enjoyed the fire and listening to nature in this quiet setting. The town of Leesburg was quaint and interesting. Please note that the toilet is out in the open. So if you want any privacy from others in your party, we recommend you bring some sort of covering or manufacture one out of a tarp. Be careful on the long and scenic grass and dirt road on the way to camp. It could be a bit tricky if you are driving a car down it.

Totally worth trying! This is a beautiful spot, private and walking distance to the river. The tent was spacious and well designed. Loved that they provided water!

We loved our stay at Nut Orchard retreat. Although it's just outside Leesburg, the camp site was very secluded and peaceful. The Tentrr setup was very cool and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was about a five minute walk to get to the river, and we enjoyed hiking around the property. The hosts were responsive and quickly brought us more loo bags when we requested them. The only cons were there was quite a bit of airplane noise in the afternoon - I think we must have been in the Dulles flight path; and it wasn't a great section of the river for easy wading or swimming. Although close to the river, you cannot see it from the camp site.

The tent was clean and the campsite was beautiful. I wish the campkeeper had set up a sunshower stall, or at least a hook on which to hang the shower bag. Otherwise, everything was excellent!
