We just had a 2 day winter camping at this site. The photo from the website is probably taken in summer. In winter, it's very green and much more beautiful. It's like being a forest from some fairy tale. The farm is quite big. It took us (2+3 toddlers) 45 minutes to walk from the campsite to the other end. Farm animals just walk around. Every morning we could see a donkey and 4 llama visit our campsite. The campsite is well equipped with basic facilities (restroom, bathroom, water tanks, tent, table, chair, fire pit...) AT&T cell signal is reachable but weak. Bob is friendly and lives at the other side of the farm. He should be reachable if help is needed. We were looking for some experience between dispersed camping and campsite camping, a safe environment that allows us to explore. It also has other wild animals other than farm animals. This campsite is pretty close to what we looked for.

Our host Bob was wonderful – very responsive before, during and after the trip. This site #2 is on a corner of his beautiful 20 acre property on which you can wander and meet his many animals. Within 15 to 30 minutes drive, we fished at Bob’s beautiful secret fishing hole, visited the mysterious and beautiful Table Mountain and the Oroville Dam. This was simple and rustic camping, but Bob had many added conveniences to make the stay easier and more comfortable. The companion campsite #1 is only a stone’s throw away and would be great to combine for a family reunion. Also, there is plenty of water for washing, but don’t forget to bring your own drinking water. The property itself is set back off of dirt and gravel roads and feels like you are a million miles away. There are some local dogs who like to make noise at night, so bring your ear plugs. We will definitely make our way back to the Trank Family Farm and Bob’s welcoming hospitality!
