“This was our third Tenttr trip and here are 10 good reasons to visit Fortunate Eve Farm. 1. The tent and the site has all the fundamentals stuff Im good order and a real bed and not an air bed which give the real luxurious clamping experience. 2. Go for a nice refreshing morning swim in the pond few steps from the tent door. The pond is cleaned daily by the local farmer. 3. Enjoy watching the sheep follow the sun and the freshest fields as the day goes by. 4. Shop the local farmers markets and farm stalls for the best produce in the North East. 5. Go for one more swim in the pond and watch the clouds fly by from the swim platform in the middle of the pond as the sun is setting over the green mountains. 6. Grill some of the lamb from the farm for dinner over the camp fire with local corn, squash, and if you like melt some Vermont cheese over the lamb from then Consider Bardwell Farm leading the craft cheese movement in the state. 7. Go to sleep with the sheep all under the same stars. 8. Wake up rested and use the gas stove to make coffee before one more swim in the pond. 9. Enjoy hiking around the property, or climb the Mount Equinox peak in nearby Manchester Vermont or have a beer at the local brewery in the local town Cambridge. 10. If you anyway make it to Manchester don’t forget to see the Lincoln family home with the egg shipping box used to ships fresh eggs from Vermont to Chicago in the early days of the last century. Be sure to bring some eggs, cheese and produce back to the big city!”
“This was seemingly the perfect getaway. It was beautiful out in Ashley's farm and she was a perfect host. I really loved the thoughtfulness of everything provided in the placement of the firepit / cooking tools / most importantly fresh water. Once you got out of your tent you are graced with such a beautiful painting like view of the fields and a little hint of the watering hole. Coming from NYC, you don't get that often. You definitely have to have some of their lamb too. It was delicious after being cooked over the grill. Everything at this site was so clean. Being a first time tentrr and native city girl - I was very nervous about the loo and the sun shower haha, but it was strategically placed and easy to use. Thank you for easing a newbie camper like me to the wonders of nature! Your animals are so beautiful, Ashley and family. Thank you for being wonderful and friendly hosts to Victor and me.”
