Matt was extremely responsive and made our camping trip very nice! He even offered to let us borrow his canoe and kayaks for the River. The location was easy to find and the site was exactly as described. Very beautiful site with tons of privacy. Highly recommend!

I almost don’t want to give away the secret but Matthew’s place is fantastic. We have 3 young kids and a dog. We spent our time in what felt like our own little secluded oasis, grilling on the campfire, playing games and soaking up nature. Matthew was an easy, gracious host who had thought of everything to make our stay fun and comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights but returning to DC we felt fully restored. We will definitely be back!

A grande estate with ample amenities available to use. Matthrew despite being a first time host, felt like one who’s done this hundreds of times before. Just close enough to be attentive and available at any time, but far enough to know that we were here for the experience. He’s willing to go as far or as little as you request. Ample knowledge of his 50 acre property. It was clear that he himself has stepped foot on every inch of it, knowing every path, river, and marshland. The camp area is perfectly secluded. Completely surrounded by dense forest, with the general riverside direction relatively a clear path to the river. The pictures do not do it justice. It truly looks curated for the intimate experience. There was not any sense that you weren’t out in the middle of woods with your own personal river and ponds. He is extremely accommodating with our group of a dad and my three boys, even willing to lend us his personal tractor to cruise around his property just for fun. He was willing to show us how to use it, and let us be while we had a blast on it. Had a digger bucket attached to the front and we dug a few holes. An experience you shan’t find in many places completely unsupervised. There was no hurry to check out on the last day either. If we had more time, I’m sure we would’ve hit every activity he had to offer, but two nights and 3 days is not enough to experience the land. He made it clear that his home was our home from the beginning, and we are excited to reserve a spot again in the summer. Don’t overlook this spot. It really is a gem, just try to stay longer than a weekend!
