This was a wonderful site. I chose this site to get away from the city and it was perfect. I would highly recommend and have already told some of my friends.

Definitely recommend!! The campsite is stocked with kitchen supplies, so you're likely find that you've over packed. We had a wonderful time around the fire, cooking on the grill, relaxing in the hot tub, hiking on the trails, and reading in hammocks. The composting "toilet" requires guests to get more hands on with their bio-breaks than an outhouse would, but we figured out the system.

Our two night stay at Major's Mountain Camp was a delight. Willow is a wonderful host. She gave great recommendations about Callicoon (visit the Distillery). The site is surrounded by a ferns and old and new trees. This was our first time using a Tentrr set-up and we have high praise for the comfortable bed. The first night had some early rain, but that was no worry because the property is across the street from a funky pizza and taco and other things place (Local). We had locally grown garlic scape fried rice! The next day Willow took us on our custom float trip upriver to a drop off point with tubes and excellent directions about where to pull out. The Delaware River was sedate and relaxing. Can't recommend it enough. We were visited by deer and frogs at our campsite throughout out stay. Before you go to bed, make sure your campfire is out and turn off all your lanterns and flashlights. The lightning bugs display is spectacular. You will feel like you stepped into the Shire.

Camping, not glamping. Nothing has been cleaned. The tent looks rundown. There were no animals. The linens were dirty. The rugs were filthy.

This is not glamping, and it’s not camping either. - Best thing about it may be the cute animals and the hiking scenery/trails close by, neither of which we decided to find. Beware: - Confusing directions despite odd google map provided; very bad, long road to get to tent - Leaky, (half inflated on arrival) air mattress - Camping bucket toilet next to bed - Broken furnace/stove inside tent. It was very cold. - Some leftover candles; dim, half functioning or dead battery-operated lanterns, no matches or toilet paper - two of us had fleas or possibly bedbug bites the next morning -

Super late response ( no response), less equipment than they explained. Never visit again.

It seems this camp site is no longer active. We sent the host several emails via the Tentrr platform, calls, and a voicemail to confirm our booking and didn’t hear back which we thought was a little odd since a Tentrr rep spoke to the host first before we could book online. When we arrived, the host had no idea we were booked but then found us in the system. It took about an hour to get us checked in and while we were glad the host was accommodating and got us what we needed, this isn’t a reliable place to stay if you drove a long distance like us. We have our own camping gear and did some primitive camping the night before - we were looking forward to the luxury of being to roll in after a long day on the road and get a fire going in the wood stove. The wood stove was missing from the tent (the host said it broke over the summer) along with several other amenities listed for a Tentrr signature site. We got by fine with an electric heater the host lent us. The amenities and photos are misleading and it was a poor value for what we paid. This site might work fine for local folks who are just breezing by last minute since this site doesn’t seem to be reliably set up to take guests.
