Overall this was a great experience! The site was in a broad open area with a beautiful rocky area leading to a creek just to the rear. We were able to drive over the dam to unload & load our vehicles, but parked across at the parking area. There was not a clear view of the lake from the tents, but this gave added privacy. The site gives the impression of a remote location, but as it does connect with a disc golf site - there is a trail. Several times a person or family group seemed to 'pop out' of the dense woods along one side, surprising us & our dogs! The tents were very sturdy and clean. They both zipped securely closed & could be locked. It did rain some and no leaks were observed. The grills were in good condition - but, alas! with a burn ban in place we were unable to use. We did not utilize the 'toilets' provided, but both were clean. We brought a foam mattress topper for the bed and that made it very comfortable. The only thing that could be improved on was that the garbage can located behind the tents was completely full. It wasn't clear who was responsible for emptying the trash. I would definitely go back again to this site again.

This is our second time at this spot . The first time we loved it besides not being able to use the drive way, and everything was nice and clean and put together . However this time around we showed up and it looked like no one had touched the spot in a year or more. The grass was taller then our knees and the fire pits were broken, we had to rig it up in order to keep food on the grill part. Last time we came the little toilets were in the tents and super clean. This time they were outside and still had urine (or maybe yellow/brown water) from whoever was there last. When we arrived we ran into the park manager and he explained to us that he started 3 weeks ago and has a lot of plans to fix up the park and I hope that’s true because it could be so nice if taken care of . I’m not sure if these are privately owned or if the park has to keep them up but who’s ever job it is , they are slacking and will be the reason we find another place to camp until this new manager can get his foot all the way in the door . He seemed really nice and excited . Even mentioned draining the lake cleaning it out and bringing in trucks of sand to make a shallow swimming area as well as fixing the pool that’s been closed for a while now. But we made the most of our stay and enjoyed family time . We just wish we could have enjoyed the spot like we did that time with the amount of money we spent for it.

Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed some of your concerns. He is aware of them and moving forward with future bookings, will be more mindful of the items you mentioned. We look forward to working with the new park manager at Tishomingo to get these sites back to the condition our campers deserve. Again, we apologize for the situation that occurred, but thank you for camping with Tentrr and we hope to see you out camping with us again soon! Cheers! The Tentrr Team

We had a great time camping at Tishomingo state park. The campsite was perfect. The site is a little off by itself but in a great location, you will have to carry some of your gear to the tents. Very convenient to one of the disc golf courses. We had a great trip and I would definitely recommend Tenter and Tishmingo State Park.

The campsite was too far from the parking lot.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tishomingo. It was our kiddos first camping trip. Unfortunately it POURED Thursday evening from 6:00 all night long. I can confirm that the tents are water tight. We were very dry and comfortable. It then proceeded to rain on and off all Friday. I'm glad we paid for the rain guarantee. Now I just have to figure out how to claim it.....

There was no one to meet us when we arrived. We were left to find the site on our own. There was a locked gate at the entrance to our site. We had to drive around the gate in our cars, which I was not happy about. Thank goodness the ground was firm and dry. There was no water in the orange containers and we could not get anyone via text or phone to instruct us on how to get through the gate, where to get water, etc.. There were no garbage bags left for us so we had to put trash straight into the cans and we were unable to carry the trash out to dumpsters. The site was nice but the service that is advertised on your website was entirely absent. If no service or support is provided, the site is overpriced at $160. Additionally, this particular site is nicely semi-private (compared to the single tentrrs across the lake), but will only be a good option during winter and shoulder months. It would be unbearable in the summer because there is no relief from the sun, and the tents will be hotboxes.

The stay was great! Josh was awesome! The tents were really clean they even had heaters already in them for the cool nights. There was a short walk to get to them but made the stay even better because you are set out at the back of the lake with tons of privacy. Josh we will definitely be returning.
