“This spot was amazing. I had reached out to the host before arrival since I was traveling with my semi-reactive dog and she was super accommodating and let me know that the resident would be kept with her and away from the camping area (we never saw or heard it). She was very responsive to all my questions before arriving (and I had lots). When we arrived, the host was extremely helpful and brought over the wood and charcoal we had pre-ordered. The lake is very pretty and I was surprised at how quiet it was all day long. Most of the pontoon boats seem to come out in the late afternoon and early evening so we only saw a couple of kayaks on our morning paddle. I should also note that we were the only ones here during our visit. This site does host private events at the beach (birthday parties and such) so I can imagine that might change the setting during those times. However, there are two campsites so I think I would opt for the more private one if I was concerned about there also being a group at the beach during my stay in the future. I look forward to returning in the future.”
