Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Great overnight at Tent Site C, we had the whole ridge to ourselves! Arrived by motorcycle and parked at the stables and they let us put valuables inside the office for safekeeping. Even though the hike-in is uphill to the ridge, the trail is graded for livestock and has plenty of switchbacks.
We expected the spring to be dry since it is the end of August, so we packed in 10 liters of H20. The spring was just a slow drip out of the pipe, but the catch basin was full (bring a water filter).
The lock on the tent was already open when we arrived and would not lock when we departed so may need replacing.
Everything else was in order as described and the solar shower came in handy after a hot, humid hike up to the ridge.
The only issues were from previous campers that used the bear proof storage container for trash and firewood storage and had left the camp privy full. Yuck! We walked the 5 minutes south down the trail and used the privies at the pavilion by Site A & B.
No animal issues and there is plenty of deadfall to use for a fire. We brought along a folding saw that came in handy for larger fuel for the really nice fire pit/grill combo. The Adirondack chairs were really comfortable for relaxing around camp and we enjoyed the short hike to Cranny Crow Overlook with coffee in the morning.
I would do this again and recommend it if you can pack your gear in the 1.5 mile hike uphill.”
“We enjoyed our trip. Hunter, the campkeeper was helpful and communicative. The site was as advertised and well maintained. We are likely to reserve this spot again in the future.”
“This little spot with an orange cooler of water was absolutely heavenly to find after a 2 mile hike straight up a mountain in the middle of the night led by our amazing guide Hunter, who was sure to take us through some really neat shortcuts. Had he not been waiting for us, we would have gotten lost. The site was beautiful and the most private of them all, located near a sign labeled Fresh Spring. We learned that the trail was actually kind of difficult even during the day when we made our run to town for spring water. We slept very comfortably in the tent that was able to keep us safe from an unexpected thunderstorm and aggressive swarms of bugs and the outdoor furniture was sturdy and useful. Even now I feel the magnetic pull from those Adirondack chairs to come take in the beautiful view of sky beyond the ferns and trees.”
“Our campsite manager Hunter made sure our first family camping adventure was a success. He said his job was to solve problems, and he takes his job seriously. Our remote hike-in site was well setup - especially the cooler of drinking water. He was in touch throughout, giving us a sense of security in the unknown. He also went above and beyond to help bring unhikable belongings to us via a rugged access road. Thank you! (PS Tentrr’s booking and individual site description should mention the hike-in more clearly so we could have better prepared.)”
