“My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time camping at "Your Own Wilderness." It was a bit hard to find the campground and limited service made that more difficult, but once we found the site we had such an amazing time. The campground is very private and nestled in a field in the woods with a majestic stream a few feet away. The only amenity is a fire pit, but that added to the rustic nature of the trip. I highly recommend this campground to anyone who is willing to rough it and be at one with nature!”
“It’s a beautiful open field all to yourself. Surrounded by pines and a stream a few steps away. We were a group of ten escaping NYC. We woke up to a chilly morning preparing breakfast and coffee by the fire. By midday the sun was out and we headed to the bridge to make our way down stream. We spent our day exploring the woods and enjoying the little pools created by the crisp, clean and cold stream. We came prepared with full gear to enjoy the wilderness. Will recommend this spot and surely come again. ”
“It is an amazing piece of property...truly lived up to expectations. We hiked on the property and slept to the sound of a stream...counted many stars and no people. One thing with Tentrr I realised that it's never clear what backcountry properties have outhouses or camping toilets, this one does not!”
“This is an amazing back country site. Beautiful property. My wife and I and our two dogs loved it. The field is amazing with wild blackberries, monarch butterflies, plenty of pine cones for fire starters. We could hear the stream from our camp. The stream was big with lots of little water falls. Between the field, the woods and the stream it had every environment you could need. Great sunshine and wonderful shade. Also, we’ve done several regular Tentrrs and often they are close to neighborhoods with car noise. this spot really felt away from it all. The property was extremely private and while Art sent us a very welcoming message initially, he gave us privacy while there but we felt comfortable that we could reach out if we needed anything. A huge plus is that you can drive right up to the camping area which is so convenient!! Lastly, we were amazed not to find a single tick or get carried off by mosquitoes. As regular hikers and campers in the area, this is amazing!! We will definitely come back. Thanks Art!”
