“This is the perfect getaway. Far enough away from the city to enjoy the peace and quiet. Would stay here 100 times over! The place even had seasonings and spices and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for a couples getaway or a lone wolf retreat! STAY HERE!”
“Tent was spacious and warm! The shower and bathroom are primitive, but usable. Overall the property is gorgeous and fishing and kayaks were fun. Excellent place to get away from it all!”
“This is an amazing space. It is a completely private tent on the banks of the Cumberland River. No swim access, but the solar shower is a nice way to cool off midday. I would definitely recommend bringing an easy up or two. There are lots of trees, but the shade is far from the fire pit and table for most of the day. The site came with everything you needed including a grill kit, bug spray and wood... WOOD! Any camper knows that is a BIG DEAL. The only downside was the mattress. It was rough after two nights, but everything was amazing and we would defiantly come back! If you bring your dog, bring an off the ground cot.”
“Whooping Crane Farm is located In such a great spot, just outside Nashville, it is easy to get to, but convenient to everything. The camp spot is fantastic! Right on the Cumberland River, the spot is very secluded, and plenty of space for a group. I would recommend bringing camp chairs, in case you want to sit in a shady spot, or by the water. The site has a picnic table, grill, and solar shower, however I would bring a tarp for privacy if you actually plan to use it, as the river is a busy place in the summer, and the shower is in clear view from
the water. There is a pond on the property, which the host, Ellen, allowed us to fish in. The River would be difficult to access, at least while we were there in late August, as there is a big drop off from the bank. I’m not sure if this is normal, or if the water lever was low. The “loo” is a pop up tent with a bucket toilet in it. It was equipped with poop bags and toilet paper. The glamping tent was awesome. The bed was very comfortable. We had some heavy rains overnight, and did have some dripping water from the center seam of the tent and had to scoot the bed over, but other than that, I slept like a baby. We live this spot so much, we plan to return later in the fall!”
“My Fiance and I booked a stay for a peaceful night out of the city. It is a short 20 minute drive from the center of Nashville, which is perfect for a quick getaway! The site is deep into the property and very easy to locate with the directions we received. The site is very well kept and cozy. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We were worried it would be hot in the middle of August but there is a fan that kept us very cool while we slept. The fire pit and chairs are perfectly located so you can roast marshmallows with beautiful views of the river. They also offer kayak rentals as an extra if you are wanting to get on the water, such a great perk! We will definitely be returning for a longer stay. We highly recommend anyone local or visiting Nashville to stay at this site.”
