The campsite and mountain were wonderful. We came well prepared for the hike and had a great time, once we figured out where we were going. Although we notified him of our arrival in advance, the tentrr host, Hunter, was not there when we arrived and we had to spend over an hour trying to figure out which trail to take to get to the site. The state park is not affiliated with tentrr, so the staff were not able to help. Fortunately, we were eventually able to get in contact with hunter to recieve the site coordinates. If you visit this park, make sure you get site coordinates and trail directions before your trip. Overall it was a great experience.

My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay. However, when we initially requested the booking we were not aware that in order to access the tent we would have to hike uphill, on somewhat strenuous terrain, for over a mile. Fortunately, I was able to gain access to additional information regarding the campsite via another source and requested a campsite that was slightly more accessible due to a sustained ankle injury. We were moved to a similar tent that was "closer" but still ended up being a 1.5-mile hike uphill. Once we arrived, the tent was exactly as advertised i.e. bedding, fire pit, etc. More information included in the advertisement would allow future guests to prepare accordingly or seek alternate accommodations if needed.

Hunter, the site manager, was incredible and I give him 5 stars for all his help! But I think tentrr has some kinks to fix overall. It was very challenging to get information about the site ahead of time and it was not clear at all that the "hike in" was a strenuous hike up a ridge for over 2 miles. I am in very good shape and go backpacking and camping, so I managed the hike OK but had I known the difficulty, I would have packed very differently. We also spoke to other tentrr campers who expressed the same dismay at the difficulty of the hike. Hunter was super kind to transport our belongings back down the ridge at the end of the stay, but it was something he did going above and beyond what tentrr seems to offer. The sites were very well kept and comfortable, but they should add firewood at site and it was also advertised that water could be replenished but in fact we had to rely on Hunter to bring us more water. Again, he was great but there is no reception at the site, so he shouldn't have to be relied upon to get basic necessities. I will note, the sites were beautiful and being up on the ridge meant we had access to incredible views, I just wish I'd known what I was getting into when I was packing.
