“Great site and location with wonderful views. Plenty of space between the other two sites (within viewing distance) for privacy, solitude. Most of trails in the park easy walk from the site. The stars were amazing. Park staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the outdoor kitchen set up and portable outdoor toilet.
What could be improved?
1) big dip in the road leading to the site needs more gravel. My prius which is very low to the ground had difficulty each time. Luckily the ground was not too soft so I did not get stuck.
2) the propane heater I could not get lighted- dropped to 32 the night I was there ( brrrr). It would be helpful to have some additional instructions for trying to light ( only ones were the manufacturer instructions).
3) the campground shower stalls were fancy for a state park (!) but the hot water (at least in my stall ) never warmed up, super disappointed. Hot water in the sink worked.
Otherwise it was amazing and well worth the price for the views, privacy, and conveniences Tentrr provided for winter camping.”
“The tent was an amazing base camp for Bryce and also hikes within the campground itself. We enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs in the still quiet of the night and stargazing. The composting toilet in the tent was useful to boot. Don't miss the showers at Kodachrome-they are a welcome reprieve and almost spa like! Staff at the park were super helpful and friendly.”
“The park itself is breathtaking. Love that it is remote and uncrowded. The park staff do a great job maintaining clean bathrooms and showers. The roomy canvas tent we booked was private in a beautiful spot. They provided 5 gallons of drinking water and a very nice picnic table and meal prep area and grill, and trash can. Was a great stay!”

“We loved site J!! We came from out of town so we had to buy bedding and camp essentials but it was worth it! Kodachrome is such a cool place to stay and this site was really well positioned for sunset, sunrise, and late night star gazing. Plenty of water and bathrooms were right across the street so we ended opting for that over the portable toilet once we found them. Would definitely stay again!”
