Unique, private little sanctuary, perfect escape from the city. Great host, communication, friendly. Would recommend, Hope I can come back soon!

This site is so beautiful and serene. The tent is perfectly placed with a view of a lake, lush green grass, wildflowers, and picturesque pathway leading out. Everything is well maintained. We're a family of four with one large dog and were all comfortable in the canvas tent. We would definitely go back. I agree with the previous review that bringing freestanding shade is a good idea- not a lot of natural shade available.

We spent 3 nights on this beautiful, sunny site with amazing unobstructed views of the night sky on a clear night. We also made good use of their Eureka Copper Canyon 6 cabin-style tent which was easy to set up. Fyi - the tent is rated for 6 people but it's a 10x10 square that comfortably accommodates 3 adults and a dog or two. Bring your own camp cots/pads/air mattresses if you plan to set up and use the additional Eureka tent. I also highly recommend bringing some type of freestanding sunshade (or a tarp with tarp poles) if you're planning to stay more than 1 day because it can get crazy hot and sunny with no trees nearby for shade. Since there are no trees in the area to string a tarp from, you'll appreciate a freestanding sun shelter. We brought our kelty sunshade and it was a godsend. We also brought our folding mac wagon which was another smart decision since you have to park in a different area and walk about 50 yards to the site. We had a bunch of stuff since we were a party of 5 (plus a dog) staying for 3 nights. The wagon made hauling our stuff back and forth to the cars tolerable. Overall, it was a fantastic stay at El Dorado and I highly recommend!

What an incredible weekend! The host greeted us right as we pulled up and brought us right to the site. The site area is huge, great for a bigger party (or small)! We had 9 all together and had plenty of space for 3 of our own pop up tents. You have great views of both ponds and the scenery is so lush with green everywhere! Highly recommended and would definitely go back! CampKeeper was very responsive through the messaging center.

This was an amazing site. Very clean and well maintained. Host was very kind and friendly, left us little gifts, water and fire wood (even asked if we needed more). Lots of wild life, great bird watching, fishing and so many salamanders! Perfect get away!

5 star... literally.. the stars were fab! El Dorado camp sits on well maintained grass behind a stunning meadow with 2 ponds. We even caught (and released) bass in one of the ponds! The site is about .25 miles from the owners main house and about 3 miles from the town of Roscoe. Great location 2 hours from NYC. Roscoe is a charming little town and has a natural grocer, Prohibition Distillery, a diner, and fishing supply stores. Lovely weekend getaway.

Beautiful land. No cell service. Dog on site (he slept outside of our tent and didn't want to go home). The meadow could use a trim. Tent and all equipment in good condition. CampKeeper offered free access to water and wood (but we had no service so didn't get the message till we left). The town's really cute. Brewery really worth visiting. Nice night under a most beautifully starlit sky.
