Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“We enjoyed our stay! The site was beautiful and secluded, with private access to a pond. Jackie and the other farm staff were friendly and accommodating, and it was great to get to meet the horses and various other animals there. The Tentrr tent was spacious and kept us dry from the occasional rain we got, and the propane heater in the tent helped us stay warm when it got chilly. There's a little market nearby where you can stock up on supplies or exchange for a full propane tank, and the location is convenient for exploring Hocking Hills. All in all a great way to ease back into camping this season!”
“Nice and fun place to stay! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming! The propane heater was nice in our tent as it was very cold throughout the night ! Would stay again!”
“Our stay was awesome!! The camp site was fully stocked with a beautiful fire pit (with grate), charcoal grill, smore sticks, access to paddle boats and the pond, grilling utensils, a pop-up bowl for washing dishes, and a trash can (this is everything that you CAN’T see in the pictures). The mattress was also VERY comfy. Would absolutely stay here again!! The host runs an equestrian trail riding business from the property so you also get to see her horses (and ride if you plan ahead and schedule that).
If you are coming from Hocking Hills, plan ahead and bring a map because there is no service from any of the Hocking Hills parking lots to the campsite. There is cell service at the campsite, however.”
“This was a perfect little getaway for our family. Set alongside a cute little pond where you could fish, or simply lay in the hammock and enjoy the fresh country air. We took advantage of the horse farm it’s on and did a horseback ride the next morning. We loved our time here and can’t wait to come again!”
“What a surprise! We loved it. First-time TentRRs here and we didn't know quite what to expect. This site was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed. We already knew about the standard TentRR package, but there was also a charcoal grill with a prep table and a nylon picnic canopy. Plus, in the prep cabinet were several ziplocs of dry charcoal and some cleaning supplies. And there were plenty of fire and grill tools, too. It all made for easier cooking and even more relaxing.
Jackie and her team took great care of us, too. From personally guiding us back to the site (way back to a secluded and very private part of the farm), to replenishing our wood and water when we needed. Everyone was really friendly and helped us have a great visit.
During our full day in the area, we made the short drive to Hocking Hills state park and did a couple of wonderful hikes. I especially recommend Old Man's cave. We did the long loop and found it thrilling. The landscape was more beautiful than we thought Southern Ohio would be.
Finally, I will comment on the TentRR equipment. We camped through a torrential downpour on our second night and the tent kept us bone-dry. The Adirondack chairs were heavy enough not to blow away in the storm, but light enough for us to easily move them around the camp. And the camp loo and camp shower were just about as functional and easy to use as one could hope for. Truth be told, the camp loo was what gave us the most apprehension ahead of the visit, but it was pretty great. I thought maybe just a bucket in the woods, but it was a little outhouse and surprisingly comfortable.
All told, I highly recommend Starry Nights. We were definitely still camping (not quite at the level of "glamping"), but TentRR made it just a bit easier.
We had a fantastic time and will go back. We'd like to stay even longer so we can experience more of what Hocking Hills has to offer. And hopefully get some horseback riding in at the farm!”
“My family had a wonderful time at the campsite. Jackie and her team were fantastic and we were able to take full advantage of the property with paddle boating, fishing, horseback riding, hiking and of course the stargazing. Great proximity to some otherworldly hikes in the hocking hills. We will be back. ”
