“It was much prettier than the photos! Also, Brian was super responsive and helpful. He definitely made our trip more comfortable and well prepared. I wasn’t aware of all the amenities he provides for his guests (toilet paper, paper towels, heaters etc). Such a secluded place with a beautiful view. My dog enjoyed running around the field — brought a long leash but didn’t end up using it. I’m not a huge nature person, so this place with not so many bugs and wild animals made me feel safe at night. It’s a bit of a drive from Manhattan and Tmobile phones don’t work, but it’s worth it. Would recommend and come back again!”
“We had a lovely stay at Hilltop! The tent is perched on a hill with acres of land all around and incredible picturesque sunset views. The site comes complete with an outdoor dining table, two benches, and a gas grill, in addition to a fire pit. Brian was a gracious host, and showed our kids around the dairy barn to meet the cows, which was a highlight. It got incredibly cold at night (maybe just a weather anomaly during our stay), so bring your own wool blankets or sleeping bags, and maybe an extra battery-operated source of heat, since the small wood stove inside the tent had to be refilled every few hours to keep the fire going. The air mattresses make a lot of noise with any slight movement, as air mattresses often do, so ear plugs would‘ve come in handy. We took a great hike about 20-25 minutes away at the Bramley Mountain Trail. We really loved this spot and would highly recommend it!”
“This location was absolutely stunning and the hosts extremely accommodating. It’s an incredible view and a well kept camp. The only thing we would add would be a blanket or pad of some kind under the air-mattress to keep it from squeaking quite as much and may be a tarp over the wood (it got very dew-y in the early evening and over night which made fire-building in the morning a little bit more challenging). But overall, really super time in a gorgeous place. Will return!”
“Our campkeeper was very accommodating and the camp site was wonderful!! We did some hiking, swimming and horseback riding near by. We would come back to this location!”
“Wow! What a beautiful location. The host, Brian, and his family were so welcoming and friendly. The campsite had everything we needed and was close to some great hiking trails and lakes for swimming. We had a chance to purchase some meat from the farm to cook for one of our dinners and we are so glad we did. Highly recommend this location for your next getaway!”
“You'll have the entire hillside to yourself, with views down into the valley and mountains on one side. The setup is basic but comfortable and it's a great place to spend a relaxing weekend. It is an exposed location and even with daytime temperatures in the 80s it got cold at night.”
