“Our tent's zipper was not functional and the side straps were broken leaving a gaping hole on the side. This was problematic as the wind would howl into our tent and leave us vulnerable to exterior elements. No camp keeper was on site or available by phone as reception is nonexistent. I do not recommend Tentrr for anyone to use. I plan on seeking a refund for my dreadful experience.”
“The laundry and bathroom facilities saved our experience here however we were unfairly Charged for additional vehicles after the description on the site stated two per tentrr site. Overall we paid an additional $64 and wish we’d cut our losses and stayed somewhere else”
“There were many amenities at our Tentr site- a toilet with special waste bags and a green pop-up privacy screen, an extra tent and a solar shower kit under the bed. There was even a broom tucked along the wall. Finally there was a propane heater and a fire extinguisher. Some drawbacks- the zipper at the main entrance was broken so bugs could get inside (though few did), the ants/flys were very active at this site in the afternoon/evening, and there is no shade on the tent so it was hot in the afternoon.”
“Excellent stay! My ol’ lady and my pup had the best time. All facilities were well maintained and clean. Trails were easy enough (with lots and lots of water). The site was nice enough space to explore, nice fire pit, wooden table cook area and benches were an awesome surprise! We loved it!”
“It was a wonderful trip! We love the tents, and all the amenities that came with it. The only problem we had was the heat we didn’t plan for our littlest- 4month old. The bed was actually quite nice to sleep on and the views from tent site A were phenomenal. Right out our door the views and sunset were gorgeous. Bonus- the campsites surrounding the tentrr sites have nice bathrooms and the RV site which is a quick drive around the corner, has a really nice bathroom with the nicest showers I have seen at a campground. They are doing all the things right at Kodachrome basin and we will be back to stay again!”
“The view was worth the price. I am used to "roughing it" as I am a backpacker and do most of my sleeping in a small tent when on vacations. This was a good step up from what I'm used to, but you still get something closer to regular tent camping instead of glamping.
We did not get an adorable little heat stove like in the pictures, but had a portable propane heater which was KICKING when you turned it up. I actually prefer that over the adorable one in the pics because that doesn't look like it would heat a pop tart.
A few things to note, there MAY be high winds which means you have to do a few things in preparation for sleeping.
1. tighten the straps around the tent. I realized this the morning after the first night of really strong winds that shook the canvas so hard I thought it would rip apart (it didn't of course). Tightening the straps will obviously prevent the sides from flapping as much hence less noise. 2. If it is at all windy, you cannot light a fire nor should you want to. The area is surrounded by dry brush. 3. Zip the windows closed during the day and during windy times. We left the windows open to let cool air through when there was little to no breeze and our stuff was covered in red sand.
Also note. The portable shower is frustrating and pointless when the camp shower 5 minutes down the road is superb. Like, state of the art shower that you would use in a hotel. It's a rain shower and you will kick yourself if you attempt to wash yourself under a dripping solar bag and miss the opportunity to use those showers. Next, the head. We made the mistake of leaving it IN the tent for number 2 usage because we feared attracting animals if we brought it outside. Don't do that. Use the pop-up conceal tent and put it in there. You will not be dragged away by bears whilst you do your business. Lastly, watch your feet, food, and trash. There was a massive red ant hill that a saw a little too late while I was washing our dishes out by the table. Pay attention to where you sit and stand. Food waste and trash will attract creatures. We obviously sealed up our trash and food at night to protect us from animals and animals from us, but bugs still exist and will jump at the opportunity to infest your food. Literally, my can of soda was covered in these light colored grasshopper bugs and I almost swallowed one.
Overall, the views are incredible. Between being surrounded by red cliffs and sand and the amazing 360 view of the night sky, I couldn't help but shed some tears at the absolutely beautiful views right on that front porch.”
