“Due to a late start, we arrived to the park at midnight. We followed the directions as directed, and we were supposed to drive down a road until we found a monument on our left. We followed the instructions but were blocked by a locked gate prior to arriving to the monument. This had not been mentioned previously. We looked up how long the walk was going to be to the site and it was half of a mile. There had been no mention we would we have to walk to the campsite, we thought we were able to drive to our site. Now we would have to walk further than usual, a half mile, at midnight with all of our stuff that hadn’t been packed to be carried. We slept in the car.
Thank goodness we did. The next day we returned to the park to go to our tent and set up. We walked the half mile to the site with our junk and upon arrival tried to unlock the tent. The code that had been provided did not unlock the tent. We called Tenttr support. We went through FIVE lock combination numbers before we got the correct one. I’m so glad that we slept in the car the night before - I couldn’t imagine doing that at midnight. Upon getting inside, it was filthy. We had to clean mouse poop off the mattress and wipe it down. There was trash left behind.
The only two reasons why it’s not a one star review; it was a beautiful location (although it’s slightly odd - there’s a pretty popular walking trail right behind the tent) and Tentrr has been very responsive after the terrible weekend.”
“Sorry but it was a rough trip. The walk to site was confusing and difficult especially with gear. Parking was also confusing with zero signs. The site was pretty but not up to standards of other tentrr sites I’ve stayed. Overgrown and brush everywhere. Has potential but clean up site and open gates for drop off and extraction..”
