“Had a great experience in the Tentrr. We could have used more information on exactly what to expect (distance from vehicle to tent, type of shower available, sink, loo, condition of road and suitability for a boat trailer). Despite the “what to bring” form that was sent via email, we were unaware of what to expect prior to arriving.
View was great and the facility we stayed in was excellent. Such a great feature.
The dirt road past the State Park garbage dump was not ideal.
Overall, we had a great time. The price was a bit high, we thought. I assume there are a lot of people who would book the Tentrr sites if it weren’t for the steep price. It was much more than RV or cabin sites.”
“Wish I could give it more stars. The location and setup is beautiful. It’s hard to find though. The signs are ready small. Thankfully an agent sent us a gps pin to locate it earlier in the day. The worst part though was that the tent wasn’t waterproof. It rained hard for about 10 minutes and we had water coming in straight down the middle of the tent. We were about to spend the night in the car. Luckily it stopped raining and we were able to enjoy the rest of the night.”
Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our CampGuide has inspected your tent based on the feedback you shared. The tents are waterproof and we have had guests stay in the tents at Starvation SP in rainy conditions previously without leakage. We are wondering if maybe one of the zippers on the tent was not completely secured allowing the water to enter. Our team is developing campsite maps to make the Tenttr tents easier to locate within the park.
“I would not do this again! Local “campkeeper” never responded to my inquiries several days ahead of time or day of when looking for actual location. Airbnb should also have more accurate description of amenities as there’s a lot more items you need to pack and provide. I was told it was a charcoal grill provides for cooking but it was wood and wood fires were banned. So had to pack everything back up to go find some place to cook every meal. Very scenic, and quiet with decent bed but not worth the price. No signs, no communication with host, no toilet paper, no way to cook food. Very disappointing.”
