“The camp spot was beautiful, right next to the river and so private.
The Tent had a queen mattress, an extra tent, and a tarp which helped us a lot on a rainy day.
It was quite a chore to walk to the camp spot carrying all the things but they had a cart at the parking spot and it was fun.
Overall it was a great experience, and totally worth it.”
“The tend was organized and had all the essentials. It is quite a hike to get there, but it is all part of the experience. We had to wipe the mattress several times to get it clean, so I am bringing Clorox wipes next time. Besides that, the space was amazing, the creek is beautiful. The tent stayed dry while it was pouring outside. Highly recommended for a weekend gateway.”
Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed the cleanliness of this campsite. He is aware of them and moving forward with future bookings, will be more mindful of the items you mentioned.
Again, we apologize for the situation that occurred, but hope to see you out camping with us again soon!
Cheers!

“A lovely little site, and Sarah was incredibly helpful with tips for what to do in and around town! It's roughly a one-mile walk in from the parking spot, half on a wide gravel trail, half on a narrower dirt trail, but all very easy. The river is visible from the front deck of the tent. Nice and quiet!”
“This site has the potential to be 5 Stars!
I love Blackwater Falls State Park. Lots of lovely trails and areas to explore in Tucker County, WV!!!
This site is located down a fairly easy/level trail that is easily accessible via mountain bike, which is how we carried our gear to site. Most of the main trail (about a mile or so) is gravel, wide and only a few areas with single track or larger rocks to maneuver around. The access trail (just a tenth of a mile or shorter) off the main trail was difficult to find as it was completely overgrown. This trail goes through the woods for a short distance then opens into a meadow. This meadow was nearly chest high in grass, ferns and such. We understand being in a state park that the area may be protected but some sort of trail maintenance should be allowed.
Once we found the campsite, it was in the same state. Completely overgrown! Our "riverfront" tent, which sits only 20 feet from the Blackwater River, had ZERO view of the river. We had to bat down plants to get up the tent steps and to "clear" an area around our firepit and sitting spot.
I expect this when out backpacking in the wilderness but do expect a bit more from the hosts when staying in a so called "glamping" spot. With very little effort this site could be very inviting and a great place to call basecamp while exploring.”
Hi Jennifer,
We are so sorry to hear that the trail and area around the tent were completely overgrown! This should not be the experience, and we have seen to it that the trails and areas surrounding the tent have now been taken care of properly. We are very grateful for your feedback, and we hope to earn your trust in utilizing our services again.
Happy camping,
Tentrr
“We had a great experience staying at site B. The tent was clean, everything was laid out perfectly, and the area is beautiful. The hike in is easygoing going and through a gorgeous area of the park. Our host Sarah was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. She went above and beyond and even gave us suggestions about activities in the area and places to visit. We will absolutely be back in the future.”
