“We had a great stay at Thomas’ site along the Delaware River. Campsite was just a few steps up from the river with no neighbors in sight. It was very nice to have a stockpile of firewood on hand. Thomas was out of town but was flexible and arranged for his friend to drive us upstream for our canoe trip (which was a great time). Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend on the river!”
“We had a great experience! Beautiful location, situated right on the river. Tree coverage helps a great deal with the heat. I would recommend bringing citronella candles for the tent though since the wooden slabs that the canvas tent is on have gaps. The owner was very helpful with directions to the site and made himself available for any questions/concerns. I do have one comment: if you're looking for complete seclusion this site is not it. There are many kayak and canoe trips that go right past the tent site. They were often drunk, blasting music or had popped their boats so were walking down the river through the site. It was entertaining but if you're looking for COMPLETE seclusion this isn't for you. Thanks so much for a great experience!”
“We had an amazing time. Bought water shoes (a must) at the store in Barryville and spent pretty much the whole time in the river. Also added the canoe extra and paddled down back to the site, which is highly recommended. Our host, Hall, was responsive and everything was in good order. It helps to organize as much as possible before you arrive as cell signal is spotty to none.”
“Really great spot, close to lots of things to do, everything is as Host describes. The river is too fast flowing for swimming at the time we went (mid June)”
“Just got back from a few days at the site. We really enjoyed the site, location was very nice and very clean. Very close to the river, very romantic. Thomas, the Campkeeper was very nice and accommodating. The only down side, as others had mentioned as well, was the road noice, lots of motorcycles on the main road which is nearby. Around 3am, we heard a train coming through which it felt it was on top of us. Otherwise, very good.”
“Thomas was an awesome host. The campsite was clean, easy to find and fully equipped with tiki torches, which he refilled every night. Our site was amazing. It was secluded and peaceful. It included a small private beach, which we enjoyed for hours. There are kayak/tube rentals super close and floating down the river is highly recommended. I would give this site 10 stars if possible.”
