“Loved this site! Perfect view of the beach with a private walk-way to it, easy to find and pretty close to the parking lot. Super cute tent and space, and will be coming back”
“The view and beach access were fantastic! Without that, this rating would have been lower. The Tentrr did not meet my expectations. There were large holes in the bottom corners of the tent - not holes in the canvas but holes in the design. The "memory foam" mattress was more like a foam pad. It reminded me of sleeping on a pull-out couch where you can feel all of the bars from the frame when you lay down. We ended up leaving a day early.”
“My party of 5 just returned from Sleeper State Park and stayed in Tentrr "H." Overall it was a great experience. They set up an additional 6-person tent so we didn't need to bring our own. The Tentrr was spacious, clean and had a nice little porch with Adirondack chairs out front. It also has a screen across the front so critters can't get it if you leave the front flap open. The fire pit had a grill grate on the top which was handy and there is a smallish table and cupboard which was great for storing food items. The beach was down a path in front of the tents and was nice, although a bit rocky in the water right in front of our tents (sandy beach was like 20 feet away). There is a port a potty that was convenient and clean as well as a beefy wagon to haul your gear to your site. The main park across the street has some lovely hiking paths. My one criticism is that it is SOOO expensive! We were diving tje $160 by 5 so it was fine, but if you were there with your family it is as expensive as a hotel, motel or airbnb! I would suggest knocking the price down to $95.”
“I loved the Tenntrr campsite, it was spacious and clean. The beach was a few steps away, the bathroom was close. The showers were clean. The view of the lake from the tent was amazing!!”
“Very nice tent in an excellent beach side location. Fair walk from the parking lot, but the hosts did have some carts available to use if you didn't bring one. The cost for what is supplied (tent, picnic table, 2 Adirondack chairs) seems excessive, you could probably rent a house on the beach for the same fee with way more amenities. However, I enjoyed being outside more than in a house. Site H was very small compared to the neighbors, if you were planning on extra people in a tent I'm not sure this site could easily accommodate that, but it seemed like the neighboring sites were much larger. Be prepared for biting sand flies and a ton of spiders. For the price, not sure I'd do it again, but if they lowered it to rates similar to other DNR lodging I'd be back every year.”
