“Severely overpriced, here are the pros and cons:
Overall: would you pay a high hotel price for someone to pitch your tent and put a bed in it for you? That’s all that you’re getting here, and actually losing amenities of the regular park campground (fire, running water, shade)
Pro: first-class support from a local rep that returns text messages quick! She ever thought to leave us a huge cooler of ice water on a very hot weekend.
Pro: quick drive into town if you need something
Pro: seclusion is a grade above the park regular campsites
Con: no where to hang the solar showers
Con: no grill included as stated
Con: no big trees for shade like the regular campsite has
Con: photos on listing make it seem close to the water, it is a steep arduous hike about 300 yards. I was told it was a short walk for the kids.
Con: not a short walk to the nice campground bathrooms either, we mostly drove. The on-site porta-potty was ok but the campground bathrooms are worth the travel.
Con: lugging gear from the parking lot to the tent was much farther than described, about 100 yards. The seclusion is nice, but heavy coolers and gear back and forth is a bummer.
Con: you have to pay the $10 park fee on top of this fee.
Con: no running water so in dry season the park doesn’t let you light a fire here like you can in the park campground.
Con: Tentrr is charging Marriott pricing”
“The campsite wasn’t exactly as we had hoped and that may have been my lack of research. The tent was great and had a great view to the water. Unfortunately it was a extremely hot weekend, their was no shade in sight, and the actual entrance or access to the water is much further away than we had expected. The area which is typically the beach has receded and not well maintained. We had originally planned to paddle board from that entrance however it was too difficult to get to it with a paddle board. The actual site for the tent was frequented with red ants. Not that big of a deal but that was the only area that had a bit of shade so it made it difficult to sit at the tables provided. My girlfriend and I had to make the decision to go to a hotel due to the excessive heat. Really had high hopes for this site but maybe the weekend we went wasn’t the best with such high heat.”
“The double site was OK. There wasn't anywhere to set up the pop up tents that was level. The area around the site is all slanted. The canvas tents and the beds were great and comfortable, but not quite worth the price.”
