“We had an amazing time at Shepherd’s Meadow. My boys and husband spent the entire time fishing, while my daughter and I explored the farm. Kathy and Kevin were wonderful. Kathy allowed my daughter to go into the pasture, with her, to feed the sheep. Rebecca is quite the sheep wrangler! The canvas tent was great and the propane heater kept us toasty warm, using only1/3 of its capacity, at 37 during the night! Everything that we needed, was provided. Our boys slept in the dome tent, which kept them warm and dry! I really can’t say enough about our time at Kathy and Kevin’s. I have already booked our Easter camping trip!”
“We had sooo much fun at Shepherd’s Meadow! Despite the rain, we really enjoyed Kathy’s lovely property, sweet animals, fish-filled pond, and beautiful fall foliage. We rented the rowboat and caughfish on the pond, about a 5 minute hike from the campsite. We had our first little fish fry which was really exciting. There was so much to do that we didn’t even leave the property for the entire weekend other than a short hike on our first day at the nearby Bear Creek. The tent was great quality and held up perfectly in the rain, and they had all of the supplies needed on-site.
When I originally read on Tentrr that there were lots of animals on the property I was super excited, though I had slight concern that it would smell at the campsite, luckily however the tent and camping area‘s well removed from the main property/animals and tucked away so smell/noise was no issue at all! The only downside to being remote and private is that it is a bit of a trek to get to the campsite itself (all flat though and under 10 min). Kathy makes it as easy as possible with a map and wheel barrel. It is also only a few weeks into them being on Tentrr so she said there’s lots more improvements she has in the works (not that any are even necessary! We thought everything was great as is)
Kathy went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of - she checked in on us via text throughout the weekend to make sure we had enough water etc and was incredibly responsive when we had a question. For contrast, we use Airbnb a lot when we travel and we have never experienced better communication and check in’s from a host. Very impressive.
