“Our trip here far exceeded our expectations. Linda and Adam were so welcoming. They provided everything you could think of from towels, to grilling utensils, to kindling fire wood for both the fire pit and grill. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (and helped us celebrate our first wedding anniversary in the most special way)! The farm to table dinner for two was delicious and worth every penny. The cabin that is 50ft away makes it so easy because you have running water and fridge to keep your food cold. The site is super secluded and you truly feel like you’re the only one for miles. It was also very dog friendly. I would highly recommend this to anyone whether you’re a first time camper or an experienced camper who just wants to take it easy.”
“We had a relaxing weekend at Ottercreek homestead with our teens and dog. It is so rare to get all 4 of us to slow down long enough to spend a night away, but as novice campers we were nervous about everyone’s comfort. I’m happy to say everyone LOVED camping at Linda’s place. And we WILL return again in the spring!
This site offers every amenity of a Tentrr site w/ extra space for tents, parking, and the cutest log cabin for use while there. A GREAT value for the price with lots of privacy and lovely space to stretch. We found the cabin was handy for food prep, storage, playing cards, AM coffee, charging devices, indoor eating, washing hands/dishes (cold water only) and to keep our pup safe while we set up/packed. 2 firepit options and a grill make it easy to bonfire & cook, esp as stacks of fire wood, kindling, & charcoal were provided. Once settled, there’s plenty of foliage and open sky to enjoy while relaxing in a hammock, sitting on porch, swinging out back, or roasting marshmallows. The big tent bed is quite comfortable. It was layered with clean linen, pillows, snuggly quilts, and the whole space was easily warmed by the propane heater.
Our host, Linda, was by far the best part of renting here though, as she is soooo friendly & accommodating! It’s clear she takes pride in offering a clean, comfortable space. But she also sprinkled in adorable extras like handmade goats milk soap for the outdoor shower, fresh veggies from her garden for cooking, and left 4 individual pumpkins w/ craft paint for our fun! I highly recommend the glazed donuts & baked pretzels (with 3 dip options) she makes, as they are a YUMMY treat, and hand delivered with a smile! Other unique add on options offered include bourbon tasting, steak dinner for 2, alpaca wool crafts. I look forward to these for our next visit.”
