“This was a great place for a last minute getaway. It was great to be in nature and the pictures accurately reflect the view. Fishing was fun and the creek gave us an all day adventure. Jean was very responsive for the one question I had and made sure via text and email that we were situated and comfortable.”
“My boyfriend and I spent the most incredible weekend at this site. We were totally secluded but had everything we could have needed. The amenities were incredibly generous and the site was perfectly kept. We'll be back!”
“We had a fabulous stay at this Tentrr location hosted by Jean who was responsive and helpful when we had questions. This site on big sandy creek was the perfect place for peace & quiet… as long as you don’t mind the sound of the creek! It lulled us to sleep at night and even put us back to sleep in the morning. My husband is a strict 5:45am riser and he found the creek would put him back to sleep & the one day he slept in until almost 9am! There are no other houses or sites close by so it was great to let our two dogs run free. There was a lot of rain before and during our stay & we were perfectly dry in the tent (it does have a slight odor in it when everything is wet and damp (to be expected)). The creek will becomes more like a river with a current after it rains so we didn’t get to enjoy it much. We did take out canoe out on Chest Lake two days in a row. The small walk from the tent to the fire pit/ water is a bit steep and when the ground was wet, slippery! Hold onto the railing!”
“My wife and I, with our two dogs had a great time at this Tentrr site. The White Water Preserve property that this site is located in is absolutely incredible. We spent our few days swimming and floating in the creek, and hiking farther down to see some beautiful views of waterfalls and rock outcrops. The water was low this time of year but still high enough to find some deep pools to relax in and enough current to push a tube a little ways. The Tent itself was very well maintained and was supplied with plenty of water and all the necessities required for the stay. One night it had thunder stormed pretty hard but we stayed bone dry inside the tent. The last day we went for a quick drive (about 20 Mins) to Morgantown to check out the area. We also went for some day hikes at Coopers Rock State Forest which was right down the road a fairly short drive. All-and-all this was a great stay at a very well maintained tent site. The owner has a beautiful property and we would highly recommend!”
“This is a great site! Right on the beautiful Big Sandy Creek (pretty sure that’s what it’s called :). We’ve stayed at this site twice and it’s always really clean, and the host is very accommodating. My favorite thing about staying here is hearing the river while I go to sleep. It’s incredibly relaxing. This is just an absolutely gorgeous area of West Virginia.”
“We had an amazing stay at this site! Having all the supplies and amenities for a great camping experience! From the view on the deck and lounging on the rocks in the creek we couldn't have asked for more. Jean was so helpful and was there to answer any questions! The tent was clean, cute and very comfortable. Listening to the rushing creek below. Thank you for sharing this awesome spot with us!”
“I loved this location! It was a perfect, quiet, solo getaway. The river was amazing, the tent was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The deck and camp stove were perfect for relaxing and quick meals at night. The firepit and river access are down small hill where a set of natural stairs would be helpful. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this location for individuals or couple's looking for a peaceful getaway.”
